🌸✨ Happy International Fairy Day! ✨🌸
June 24 – A Day to Celebrate Magic, Kindness, Creativity, and Nature
I wanted to share a little tradition I’m starting with my own kids this summer - something playful, magical, full of kindness and imagination. It all begins with International Fairy Day on June 24.
🧚 What is it?
International Fairy Day is a whimsical celebration of fairies, creativity, and the magic hiding in plain sight. It’s a gentle nudge to slow down, believe in the unseen, and notice the tiny wonders waiting in the garden, behind tree bark, or under a leaf.
🌿 Why Celebrate?
Because fairies represent curiosity, kindness, and the joy of nature. They invite us to get outside, breathe in the world, and remember how powerful it is to believe in something beautiful and a little bit mysterious.
💫 How We’re Celebrating:
- 🌼 Make a fairy garden (in a pot, yard, or mossy spot)
- ✉️ Write a letter to the fairies and tuck it near a tree or tiny door
- 🍓 Host a mini tea party with tiny treats and flower decor
- 🎨 Craft miniature fairy items like swings, lanterns, or signs
- 📚 Share fairy tales under the stars or by candlelight
- 💚 Do something kind - it’s basically fairy magic in disguise
✨ The Fairy Stay – A New Summer Tradition
This year, we’re beginning something called "The Fairy Stay". On June 24, a fairy “moves in” for one magical month - leaving little notes, surprises, and invitations to create, explore, and be kind. We’re doing it to see how it sparks our kids’ imaginations, their creativity, and their time outdoors. Who knows where the magic might lead.
🧚 The Fairy Stay encourages:
- Be creative
- Believe in magic
- Spend time outdoors
- Be kind
🌈 So here’s to muddy knees, tiny tea sets, sparkly acorns, and finding wonder in the everyday.
Happy Fairy Day - and welcome to The Fairy Stay!
With fairy dust and love,
Mary

I love this , exactly the kind of thing I was working on but hadn’t got round to it yet . I love the way different ages can find magic and wonder and play in fairys ..children play to learn ,adults play to escape for leisure..and we could all do with being outdoors more ..
Omg just love this. Keep going fairies. Believe in you. 🧚🏽♀️🧚🏽♀️💙💙💜💜

I love this idea – unfortunately I am away from my home right now but I look forward to imagining all creations of natural things and inviting fairies- we need some fun and beauty to distract from the chaos in the USA. Taking a moment each day to escape to fairyland doesn’t have an age limit
I love this idea, even though I don’t have any little ones. I’ve always loved fairies 🧚!
